Bethel Mar Thoma Church, Malad was established as a parish in 1990. Before that the Marthomites in Kandivli and Malad area were used to worship at Dadar and Santacruz churches. When the number increased, the Marthomites in this area formed a congregation as part of Santacruz Marthoma church.
